FAQ
WHAT IS THE SPEED OF THE GRINDER?
It's high. 8,000RPM to be exact. Poobies™ Dog Nail Grinder uses a reinforced electric motor, which means it isn't only fast, it also delivers more power than competitor's 8,000RPM motor. Powerful enough to endure heavy grinding.
Need more power? Not a probleem. Switch to the second speed (17,000 RPM).
IS THE GRINDER QUIET? MY PUP DOESN'T LIKE LOUD NOISES.
Poobies™ Dog Nail Grinder's motor is not only powerful, it is also very quiet (below 50dB - as a comparison: as quiet as a quiet refrigerator) and absorbs lots of its vibration. Resulting is a low-vibration engine that is quiet as a whisper.
Pro tip: approach your pet with patience. Let the pet get use to the product before start grinding its nail. Read our user manual for more tips.
CAN I CHARGE IT WITH MY IPHONE CHARGER?
Yes. Poobies™ Dog Nail Grinder comes with a USB cable, but without a wall charger. You can also use any other type of phone adaptor, a power bank and even your laptop.
CAN I CHANGE THE GRINDING WHEEL? IF SO, HOW?
Yes. After months of usage, the grinding wheel loses its effectiveness. At this point you might want to consider changing the grinding wheel. To do so, simply twist the black cover anticlockwise to pull it off. Pull the old grinding wheel out. Next push the replacement wheel in and twist the black cover cap back to its place.
Pro tip: you can order a brand-new Poobies™ Replacement Grinding Head here.
MY DOG HAS LONG HAIR. HOW DO I AVOID HAIR GETTING CAUGHT IN THE GRINDER?
If your dog has long hair, it is best to band it back. Check before grinding your dog's nails if the hair is secured to avoid it getting caught in the grinder.
If your dog has long hair on his/ her paws, and between his/hers foot pads, it's best to trim it first to avoid it getting caught in the grinder.
Pro tip: if trimming your dog's paws hair is too much of a hassle, consider using a small nylon stocking or sock over the your dog's pawn. Push the nails through the nylon so it punctures it. Now the nails are exposed and the hair on the paws are safe.
WOULD IT WORK FOR A PROFESSIONAL GROOMER?
Absolutely. We work with professional groomers all over the country. Poobies™ Dog Nail Grinder is developed with the help of these professionals.
HOW LONG DOES THE GRINDING WHEEL LAST?
The grinding wheel will last for a very long time (1 - 2 years) before getting dull. It depends mostly on the frequency of usage and the hardness of your pet's nails.
Pro tip: you can order a brand-new Poobies™ Replacement Grinding Head here.
MY PUP IS AROUND 5 LBS. WILL IT WORK ON THEIR TINY NAILS WITHOUT HURTING THEM OR GOING TO CLOSE TO THE QUICK?
Absolutely not. While the grinder grinds pretty quickly, it is also easily controlled.
Switch it to the first speed and make sure to use the small port size cap for small sized pawns.
WHAT ABOUT BIG DOGS WITH THICK, HARD NAILS? IS IT POWERFUL ENOUGH?
Yes. Poobies™ Dog Nail Grinder features a 2-Speed Switch & comes with 3 Grinding Ports caps.
Both low and high speeds are powerful enough support nails of any thickness, and the 3 port caps to match small, medium, or large dog's nail.
CAN I USE IT ON KITTENS OR CATS?
Yes. You can use it on your cats or kittens as you would on dogs.
HOW LONG DOES A FULL CHARGE LAST?
Once fully charged (3 hours), Poobies™ Dog Nail Grinder lasts for 3 hours.

Meet Wendy, POOBIES™ founder.
Wendy, who holds a doctor of veterinary medicine degree, has been concerning about dog care for years.
Many dog owners have been consulting her specifically about nail care. She found that often, clippers didn’t suit their need, as it made dog anxious and could lead to unnecessary injuries. This led her to design her very own dog nail grinder.
POOBIES was born in 2014 and is the result of the combination of Wendy’s interest in dog care and expertise in veterinarian science.
